Identitate sozialaren eta boterearen arteko harremanak aztertzera dator saio hau, betiere gogoetaren muintzat gaur egungo euskal arazoaren kasu espezifikoa hartuta. Gizakiaren gizarteratzetik abiatuta planteatzen da identitate soziala, eta horren lorpena etengabeko prozesu gisa ulertzen da nola maila indibidualean hala kolektiboan. Era berean, botereak identitate nazionalarekin duen zuzeneko harremana bi mailatan gertatzen dela baieztatzen da, ez bakarrik subjektuen arteko elkarrekintzen mailan, baita norberarengandik at dauden egiturazko harreman-sare objektiboen mailan ere, eta bereziki azken horretan, gure azturak hor baitoaz mamitzen aldioro. Azkenean, azpimarratzen da pedagogiak praktika askatzailearekin eta etikarekin duen zerikusia, pentsatuz balio etikoetan oinarritutako heziketa dela gizarte gizatiarrago eta  zuzenagoa eraikiz joateko berme nagusia.

This paper examines the relationship between social identity and power in the specific context of the current Basque problem. Social identity arises in the dimension of human sociability, and its development is taken to be an unlimited process both individually and socially. It is therefore asserted that the relationship between power and national identity is played out on two levels - not only in subjective interactions but also through objective structures, especially the latter in that it is through these that our customs are primarily materialised. Lastly, the paper underscores the relationship between teaching and liberating practice and ethics, in the belief that it is precisely an education based on ethical values that is the cornerstone for the construction of a more just and humane society.
