Artikulu hau UEUren 49. Udako Ikastaroen irekiera-hitzaldian oinarritzen da. Euskal unibertsitaterik badugun da galdera eta, horrekin lotuta, unibertsitateak eta euskalherrigintzak nolako harremana behar luketen. Egungo euskal unibertsitatesistema egikaritu duten lau herrigintza-familia ezaugarritu ondoren (estatugileeuskaraduna, akademiko-instituzionala, kooperatibo-hezitzailea eta eraldatzailekritikoa), bakoitzaren ekarpenak, toposak eta azpimarrak ageriko egin eta haien arteko aliantza estrategikoa berregitea proposatzen da. Euskal unibertsitate-sistemaren helburu adostua Euskal Herriaren jabekuntza epistemikoan jarrita, indarrean dauden esperientziak jaso eta aurrera egiteko hainbat norabide aurkezten dira.

[Title]

Basque University and nation-making families

[Abstract]

This article is based on the opening lecture of the 49th edition of the UEU Summer Course. It addresses the question of whether we have achieved the Basque University and, in relation to this, the relationship between the university and the nation building. After characterizing four nation-building-families who have carried out the current basque university system (Basque-centered-Statist, Academic-Institutional, Cooperative-Educational and Transformative-Critical) to make visible their particular contributions, their topos and their specific underlines, I propose to remake their strategic alliance. Also, I present some current experiences and point to several directions to move forward within the consensual objective of the basque university system and the common goal of the epistemic empowerment of the Basque Country.
